Join Yoga with Rachel for a 30 Minute Restorative Yoga Flow for Stress Relief.

Stress is a part of life. Therefore, it is important to explore tools and strategies that can help us address and manage stress in a productive way.

One way in which we can accomplish this is through a restorative yoga practice.

In this class, we explore postures that elicit a relaxation response to both the mind and body.

As always, the breath plays an important role in helping us destress. You may notice that the breath is mostly in the chest when we are feeling stressed out. By directing the breath to the belly, you may notice the body soften and the mind relax.

In restorative yoga classes, we typically hold each posture for 5 to 20 minutes. This is why props are used as this can help create more ease as we rest and restore.

So with this in mind, please bring:
- 1 bolster or firm pillow
- 2 blankets

Note: kindly practice close to a wall as we will make use of the wall for one of our postures.

I invite you to wear comfy clothes. Wear socks. Dim the lights. You can put a few drops of essential oil into a diffuser (if one's available).
