Solar Plexus Chakra Morning Yoga
The solar plexus chakra, the third chakra point, is situated just above the belly button and at the base of the sternum. You can visualize this point as a radiant yellow ball of light, like the sun or a glowing jewel, energizing the center or the core of your body, illuminating you from within.
This chakra governs our willpower, confidence, self-esteem, determination, and our ability to achieve our goals. It is the center of our personal power and is crucial for fostering a strong sense of self.
Today's yoga practice will focus on poses, movements, and breathwork designed to balance the solar plexus, awakening this third chakra point from within.
We will explore affirmations, visualization, self-soothing touch, breathwork, and movement to help you connect with your body and inner landscape.
This practice is steeped in somatic principles. You are encouraged to allow your sensations to guide and inform your practice. If a sensation is telling you to back away from the edge of sensation (in other words, reduce your range of motion), kindly listen to this sensation. This practice is all about listening, honoring and respecting your body’s inner wisdom. You are encouraged to approach your practice with curiosity and an openness to explore, listen, learn and play.
A yoga block, as well as a blanket or towel may be useful for today’s practice.
