How to do Butterfly Pose

Today's posture is...Butterfly Pose (Baddha Konasana).

Spring has arrived here in Ontario! I feel that this pose is fitting for this time of year. Spring reminds me of rebirth, renewal and transformation.


Butterfly Pose works to improve flexibility in the hips and the groin, and provides a nice stretch to our inner thighs, knees and shoulders. An added bonus is that we will be working on our posture as well!


Optional Items: please bring a blanket and two yoga blocks (or two thick books).

These items will help cultivate more ease in the posture.

Modifications will be offered if the above-mentioned items are not available to you.
