How to do Staff Pose

Today, we explore Staff Pose/Stick Pose (Dandasana).

Now, this pose looks fairly simple from the outside, but the truth is that this pose can be challenging (of course, in a good way)!


This is a beginner friendly posture, and is a wonderful pose for those looking to deepen their current yoga practice.


Staff pose can help improve our posture, provides length in our spine, stretches out the shoulders and strengthens our backs and core. It is truly a full body experience!


Optional Items: blanket, pillow or a yoga block (or book).

These items can help us stay in the posture for a longer period of time, and can help us maintain length in our backs.
